Life is an uncertain journey, no doubt!
But to make your stay on earth worthwhile,
You need to make some decisions and be certain about them.
Some will work and some will surely fail
Either way you would learn something and become a better you.
Don’t let the fear of making a mistake stop you from going all out,
Because you might never know what’s on the other side.
Until you’ve done the big jump!
When a toddler falls on his bum countless times in an attempt to walk,
We never tell him to stop because walking isn’t meant for him.
We keep urging him on and console him when he cries
Saying the pain is part of the process
And sooner or later, he does begin to walk by himself.
So why does the narrative change when we grow older?
Why do we tell ourselves or allow others to convince us
That a couple of failures mean not-meant-to-be?
Take a stand and be ready to face the music.
It might be better than expected or even worse
But at least you took a risk.
You will never leave a lasting footprint in the sands of time
If your fear is driving you to only walk on tiptoes.
You don’t know when you will clock out,
So live like today is your last
Love wholeheartedly, work diligently
Talk truthfully, sleep peacefully,
Live without regrets.
Be certain.
