We’re excited to be bringing This Is Africa back for its third year, and once again, we’re proud to be working alongside Home Group and Tribe Tesi to make it happen.
This Is Africa has grown into something really special. It’s not just an event, but a space filled with joy, culture and connection; a moment for our communities to come together and celebrate African heritage right here in the North East. After last year’s incredible turnout, with music, dancing, great food and activities for children, we’re looking forward to making 2026 even more memorable.
In a region where spaces like this are still limited, This Is Africa creates room for visibility, community cohesion and shared experiences. It brings together people from all backgrounds – whether African, from the diaspora, or allies to celebrate the richness and diversity of African cultures. It’s about pride, joy and being able to show up fully.
