Chicken wings are so reasonable to buy and I mostly opt for them when hosting guests at home. They are so yummy, simple to prepare and so perfect for hosting especially when you have a low budget.  They go well with potatoes ( either as Salad or roasted or baked) and you can have a  green salad on the side too. I prepared these chicken wings for my radio interview at one of the well-known radio station in my city.  Oh…. everybody could not stop eating, and there were no leftovers at all. The comments and the feedback I received were finger licking good!

If you are hosting in the coming weeks, or going to have a BBQ dinner, this recipe is just for you. It is such a simple recipe with ingredients that are readily available. Your  guests will rave about them for days

Ingredients

1.5kg chicken wings (20-22 wings)

3 tbs Robertsons Cajun Creole rub

3 tbs Robertsons Brazilian smokehouse run

2 tbs roughly chopped  fresh rosemary

½ cup tomato sauce/ ketchup

½ cup sweet chilli sauce

½  brown marinade sauce

30ml soy sauce

60ml hot chutney sauce

A bit of olive oil

1  whole fresh lemon, freshly squeezed.

Recipe

Rub the chicken wings with the Robertsons rubs and rosemary, and drizzle with some olive oil.

Whisk all other ingredients together in a mixing bowl to make the marinade.

Add the wings onto to the marinade, making sure that the marinade covers the wings. Marinate for an hour,  I marinated mine overnight, overnight is the best.

Preheat oven to 180 Degree Celsius.

Bake for 45 minutes to an hour.

Halfway through the baking time and 5 minutes before removing from the oven, bast the chicken with what is left of the marinade.

Enjoy!!
